The zombie infection is different and doesn’t require a wound to become infected. It uses the same moodlet so it’s hard to tell if it is that or a wound infection if you get both. #1. There is a difference between Zombie infection and normal wound infection though. If you have no infection enabled then a bite will still cause a bad wound and may show as "Infected" but you won't actually turn into a zombie.
